Tech Class Starting in September |

The EARC will be offering a tech class at the Fire Department training room Wednesday evenings 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. September 29 through November 17, with a review class 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. November 20 and VE Exam 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. November 21. Deadline for registration is September 12. Reading will be required from 2010 The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual, available at a discount. Unless you already have the textbook, you need to send a check for $25 to our club treasurer, made out to "Evanston Amateur Radio Community." If you have the book, you can send a check for $6 to him and mention that you already have the book. The $6 is for supplies for making an antenna in one of the class sessions and other supplies for class. Put “2010 Tech Class” in the memo part of the check in either case.
Our treasurer is Chuck Bartling, W4TVW; 2923 Lincoln St; Evanston, IL 60201. Send the check so it is received by September 12. We will order books on September 13.
